Removal is priced by the number of solid square inches of ink. We measure on a grid at your consultation, counting only the squares the ink actually touches — most clinics measure the whole rectangle around a tattoo and bill you for the bare skin inside it. $99 for the first square inch, then $49 for each additional square inch up to six. Tattoos between six and ten square inches are $344. Anything over ten square inches is priced at your free consultation. Teardrops, three to five dots on a hand, and rings are $49. These are per-treatment prices, not the cost of a full removal. Military, law enforcement, fire protection and minors under 18 receive 20% off.

No. Consultations are free, and there is no obligation to book treatment afterwards. Removal is a big decision and the numbers matter. Bring your health history, the type of tattoo and roughly how old it is, and we will explain your options, answer anything you want to ask, and give you a price before you commit to anything.

No. Treatments are paid for one at a time — cash, check or credit card on the day — which spreads the cost of a removal across the months it naturally takes. There is no package to finance and nothing to pay off.

No, because the pricing model makes it unnecessary. You pay per treatment, treatments are five to eight weeks apart, and most sessions cost between $99 and $344. A removal spreads its own cost out over time without a loan, interest, or a contract for sessions you might not end up needing.

Laser tattoo removal. That is the only service offered here.

We examine the tattoo, discuss its history and what result you want, and measure it to set an accurate price. That tells us roughly how many treatments to expect. Once the process has been explained and your questions answered, we leave time to treat the same day if you want to start. If you would rather think about it, that is fine — consultations are free and there is no pressure to book on the spot.

A DEKA Toro. It runs three wavelengths — 1064 nm for black and dark blue, 532 nm for reds, oranges and yellows, and a 785 nm picosecond for blues and greens. Machines with a single wavelength handle black and struggle with everything else. Carrying all three is why colors that stall elsewhere can be treated here. It also fires a square spot rather than a round one. Round beams overlap as the laser moves across skin, and those overlaps are hot spots — hot spots are what blister and scar. A square spot tiles edge to edge and lands the energy evenly.

It stings. Most people compare it to an elastic band snapped against the skin. A cooling system runs chilled air over the area the whole time the laser is working, which takes the edge off considerably. Topical anesthetic is available for $30 a tube if you would rather have it.

The laser itself takes a few minutes. Time in the clinic per treatment does not usually exceed 30 minutes.

It depends on size, color and how deep the ink was put in. An amateur or homemade tattoo may only need two to five treatments. A professional multi-color piece usually runs five to twelve, sometimes more. You will get a realistic number at your consultation rather than a guess.

The great majority respond, whether professionally done or homemade. Green, orange and yellow are more stubborn than other pigments, but even those typically respond given enough treatments. Being able to treat a full spectrum of colors is a large part of what separates this clinic from ones running older, single-wavelength equipment.

Yes. Areas with better blood circulation clear faster, because your body does the actual work of carrying away the broken-up ink. Ink on the belly, neck or chest generally moves quicker than ink on a finger or a toe. Extremities are still very much treatable — they just take longer.

Clients have less than a 5% chance of permanent scarring.

Every treatment starts with a test of the laser on a small spot, so we can see how your skin responds before treating the rest of the tattoo.

Yes. We work on tattoos at every stage — brand new, decades old, faded by sun, or part-way through removal somewhere else. Repairing removal work started on older equipment is a regular part of what happens here.

Five weeks between the first treatments, moving to six and then eight as you get closer to the end. The gaps are not padding. Your body is what actually clears the broken-up ink, and giving it time between sessions produces a better result than rushing.

Keep the skin dry and out of the sun. If it has to be in the sun, cover it with SPF 50+ and reapply often. No ointments or bandages over the area, and stay away from tanning beds and spray tans. If you arrive with a fresh tan we will have to send you home, because treating tanned skin risks hypo-pigmentation.

There are no bandages. Expect swelling and redness for 24 to 72 hours, and skin that feels like a mild sunburn. Older removal technology left people bandaged for one to three weeks after every session. That is no longer how this works.

Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours before the appointment. More than two cancellations within a month and future visits move to a walk-in basis.

Because a lot of health conditions show up in the skin, and several common medications react badly with laser treatment. Tell us everything you are taking. It is the difference between a straightforward course of treatment and an avoidable complication.

Yes, and people do. We can arrange pick-up and drop-off at Detroit Metro Airport. Allow roughly six hours between landing and your departure time — that covers the drive to the clinic, one treatment, and the return trip to the airport.
